Stater staring...

So have you ever had someone eyeball your cart while grocery shopping?  Picture this... you meander by a fellow shopper, and notice that he or she is outright ogling the food contents that you have carefully selected and placed within your cart.  As this has obviously happened to me (on more than one occasion!  What the heck is going on?!), I have tried to come to some conclusions as to what is so interesting in my shopping cart.  I can't figure out if people are:

A.) trying to count the number of frozen items (hash browns, veggies, lean cuisines, french fries, chicken nuggets, orange chicken, pot pies... the list goes on and on sometimes)

B.) attempting to arrive at a grocery shopping total for the amount of food in my cart, as they seem to have a calculating look on their face (uh, don't they know that budget-conscientious Emily has already done this?  All they have to do is ask!)

C.) puzzled at the exquisiteness of my meal choices, LOL!

A final possibility: Maybe they just want to see what the "heeled lady (who is conversing with all the store employees in their various sections) with her cute, adorable daughter sitting prettily in her pink and green camouflage shopping cart cover and playing with her red balloon from the florist" eat on a day to day basis... any way you slice it, it truly is a mystery.
